Our 2017 Scripture Motto:
"Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, and of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. " Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)

ONGING  EVENTS:

Adopt a Pig:   During fellowship hour please consider adopting a piggy bank whimsically decorated by the kids of St. James. Take it home and fill it with your loose change from now until Christmas.  All proceeds will be donated to World Vision and Voice of the Martyrs. The kids chose to send Bibles, goats, chickens, fruit trees, and survival packs to children across the globe. Help us to share our blessing with others.

Clothe a CHILD—One third of the children in our community are in extremely poor circumstances. CrossTown ministries is seeking to clothe 150 middle schoolers (30 from each of our middle schools) as the weather turns cooler. A $100 donation will be increased $130 by local retailers. This will be done in the name of Jesus, because YOU will be the one taking the middle schooler shopping! The deadline for participating is November 15th. Contact the Parish office or CrossTown (https://crosstownnews.com) to get involved.
Parish Hall Grand Reopening—We will be celebrating the grand reopening of the Parish Hall at noonish on Sunday December 3rd. We will eat BBQ and marvel at the changes. Then George Gray will give us a presentation about The Life of Christ mural that he and his art class made for St. James in 1956 .

Pledging—A friendly reminder…We hope you will want to support our church in its continued efforts to provide spiritual worship, missionary outreach and support for our church family. We welcome your support! Pledge forms are requested by Tuesday, December 5th.
Food Donations—The Gospel Rescue Mission feeds 400-500 on Thanksgiving and Christmas due to the fact City Hall is closed and the Mission delivers to the Meals on Wheels. So the following is needed: canned cranberry sauce, (jellied, not whole), bread stuffing (not cornmeal), chicken broth, vegetables (canned corn or canned green beans), potatoes (white fresh, not dried), whole yams (fresh) They have lots of help to peel, mash, etc. The Realtors Assoc. will get the pies, whipped cream, rolls and butter. Thank you very much all of you at St. James, you are always so willing to help out. God Bless, Elsie Bonfantini
Healing Prayer - is offered after each service by the Daughters of the King. Meet in the Chapel of the Abiding Presence.Donate Type your paragraph here.
